What I'm Longing For

Hey y'all! I hope the men in your life had a wonderful Father's Day and I hope y'all had a fabulous weekend. Today I'm going to be talking about something I've been longing for. 

                       

The Louis Neverfull. Wowzers. It is just so perfect. But the holdback, again- like everything else, is what pattern? Damier Ebene or Monogram? 

                              

You can even carry it like this! So it is structured, yet still a big tote. I love big totes, so this one is perfect.

"Shine Bright Like a Diamond"

My sister and her husband just recently moved into their new house, and I am so excited!!! They have a few chandeliers featured throughout and I absolutely adore them! There is just something so put-together and sophisticated about a chandelier. It adds such a nice touch! Here are a few of the pictures that I snapped while visiting them this weekend.

 I love this one! This one is probably my favorite. I love the fun balls at the base and the "wave-like" pattern on the sides.

This one is in their dining room, which she just finished decorating! It looks so good! Post on her main rooms, coming soon!!!

      This one is in their foyer. It also has the balls at the base and I love it!

1. Loving this Robinson Convertible Crossbody  from Tory Burch. I think that this bright blue would be a great addition to a dreary outfit.

 2. Absolutely in love with these nautical bracelets with a twist from Lilly! I think the anchors and Lilly charms are absolutely adorable!

3. Still wanting this bracelet by David Yurman. It could go with so much that I have and you could transition it day to night!

4. Liking this shade by Essie. I think that this would put a little color punch in my outfits and would brighten up my mood from all of this crazy weather we've been having. Thanks Andrea! Ha!

5. Can't get over these navy polka-dot jeans that I'm wearing today with my gold Jack Rogers. I just love them!

Monograms Galore!!!

Classic Twist Tuesday: The Plaid Shirt

For this CTT I'm going to share with y'all the plaid shirt. Plaid has always been a long-time-favorite of the preps, and I decided that I should share with y'all how I think it has changed throughout the years.

This is what people think of when they hear of or see a plaid shirt- a lumberjack. Trust me, these days are looonnnnggg gone.

Male Vintage Preppy: You can so tell that that this is vintage. It kind of reminds me of that NSYNC album cover where they were all in jean ensembles. Anyway, it's vintage prep because of all of the jean and the layering- but we still layer today. Ha!

Female Vintage Preppy: This is the only vintage picture that I could find that incorporated plaid for women. But I just love this! This is something that you wouldn't see any woman seeing while walking down the street. Now this is definately vintage because of the collars and shoes.

Male Modern-Day Prep: This is so modern prep. You can see the chic and sleek blazer that is being worn in a navy blue. I think that he made it less formal and more casual by wearing the jeans and he equaled the two (being casual and formal) by wearing the tie.

Female Modern-Day Prep: I love Pretty Little Liars, and Spencer is known for her "preppiness". I think she pulled it off very well. I love how she used the layering technique and wore a hunter green bomber jacket on top, a grey vest, and a plaid shirt underneath. This is modern preppy because the way she layers, her skinny jeans, and combat boots.

What I've Been Wearing: May/June Edition

Hey y'all! Today I'm gonna share with y'all just a couple of my outfits that I've been wearing.

I love this outfit that I wore a couple of weeks ago. The shirt is from TJMAXX, but I got it a couple of years ago. And the dress is from Target about a year ago.

This is the jewelry stack that I chose to wear with it also. I wore this Guess watch and just a pearl necklace that I wrapped around my wrist three times.

I wore this ensemble today, which consisted of a chambray shirt from target (here) and a navy and lace mullet dress.

I wore this stack with it, the same pearl necklace as last time and an H&M blue toile bangle (which is not longer available!)

Polished in Pearls

The one thing that I cannot leave the house without is my pearls. They go with SO much- from dresses, to skirts, to t-shirts!

This is a great example of looking casual, but also polished. Even this one little strand of pearls can turn around an outfit!

I love this outfit! It would be perfect for a BBQ or even graduation! Pearls can take you anywhere!

As you can tell, I love pearls and I think that they can instantly bring an outfit together just by putting them on! Do you have an infatuation with pearls also? If not, what is your go-to jewelry piece? Thanks and have a fabulous Friday! 

What I'm Wanting: Bag Edition

Hey guys! I'm gonna share with y'all what I've really been wanting lately. First off, I've always and forever will (or until the day I get it) want a Louis Vuitton Speedy. It is just a classic piece, and you can never go wrong with it. I mean seriously, Audrey Hepburn carried one- you can't go wrong! The thing that I'm worried about is the size. I mean I see people all of the time with the small ones and the big ones, but I want a medium sized one that is a little big but not like luggage-sized big.

So I think I found the perfect one! This is the Speedy 40, I just love it! Y'all can find it here!

The Everything Tote

Seriously y'all, Vineyard Vines can do no wrong. When I got (this tote) for Christmas, I was so excited to try it out and take it for a spin. It can fit everything inside of it, AND comfortably- so it doesn't look like it's all awkwardly packed in there. Here's a picture of it so you can see what it looks like.

It is oh so cute, and it comes in another pattern too! It is called the Starfish Tisbury Tote. Here is a picture of it, it has starfish on it!

I love both of these patterns, but I am a pink girl- so y'all know which one I chose! You can honestly use this bag for everything. Whether it be a weekend bag, a school bag, or a beach bag! It will honestly fit everything!

Classic Twist Tuesday: The Polo

Hey y'all! I had this odd idea that I should do a "Classic Twist Tuesday" topic for my blog. So I'm going to give it a shot! Well lets get on with it! Polos have always been a long-time-favorite of the preps, and I decided that I should share with y'all how I think they have changed throughout the years. Now I know I, and others, think/ believe that "preppy" doesn't change, but a classic and timeless piece like the polo shirt does. It all depends on how you accessorize it and the colors of it.

Male Vintage Preppy: Now this is what I think of when I hear vintage male prep. You can see that the color tones and combinations in the shirt are from twenty or so years ago.

Female Vintage Preppy: This is what I definately think of when I hear vintage female prep. I love how Audrey paired the black polo with the slighly pleated plaid skirt, it worked wonderfully. And I absolutely adore her choice of shoes- simple patent leather flats.

Male Modern Preppy: This is modern-day male prep perfection. I love the popped collar and the almost-white-but-khaki shorts. And the simple-but-timeless silver and black watch just adds so much pizazz. And come on, how precious is he? Ha!

Female Modern Preppy: This also is perfection. It's simple, yet timeless. I mean yes, she should've put on a cute VV belt on with it, but hey- everybody makes mistakes. Right? I love how she has just a simple and kinda messy pony tail, they have become quite popular these days. You just throw one up and go!

Obsessed With Chevron

Lately, I've really been loving the chevron pattern. I know it has been popular for like ever, but now I've finally jumped on the bandwagon. Here are some pictures that make me love chevron even more...



I love the gray wall and the mustard yellow, white, and grey colors on the bedding. I also like how it was only on just two chevron pillows and not all of them, so it wouldn't be like, "WHOA, CHEVRON."



I L-O-V-E this dress, y'all. I love the cinched waist and the sleeves. I also like how there isn't like this bright color along with the chevron pattern, so it's not too bold. It's very neutral yet... surprising. You can find it here!

Ahh! Can I have these please? I am not an artist by any means, but I want these so bad! I really like how it's just one nail that is "chevron-ed(?)" out. And then you have this bold color that accompanies it, although how pretty would it be if there was a nude or pale pink color???

These picture frames from Anthropologie (here!) are so precious. They can add such sparkle to any ordinary picture.

"Well, Hey There Murfee."

Almost every preppy blog that I read, somewhere incorporated in one of their posts, a Lilly Murfee scarf is mentioned. I am dying to get my hands on one. But the one hold-back that I have is, "What pattern do I get?" I want one that will go with everything, not one that has colors in it that I do not own an article of clothing that matches it.

Let me introduce you to Miss Booty Caw. This is the pattern that I really, truly want. Does it match all of (or most of) my clothes? - Check! Is it absolutely, positively adorable?- Check! But is it still available to buy?- I have no idea!! When I first saw this pattern when it came out, I should have bought it. I really don't know why I didn't. See, this one has the reds and blacks in it. Lilly hasn't come out with one quite like this one yet.

BUT... I do like this one too. This one is way more brighter and fun, and I know for certain that it is still available! It is called the Lucky Charms Murfee, if any of you want it. You can buy it here!

All-Time Obsession: Jack Rogers

       As you see in the name of my blog, I am obsessed, and forever will be, with Jacks. If you don't own a pair, then honey, you gotta get some.They are the perfect, go-to shoe that you can just slide your feet in and go.There are so many color options and so many different styles! You don't like sandals? Well, girl, they have wedges and even flats! They go with anything that your heart desires you to wear. Picture this: you have to go to the grocery store and you throw on some Norts and a cute monogrammed t-shirt, but you don't have any shoes that are cute.What do you do? Grab your Jacks! Well what if you're going to a barbecue and all you have are Rainbows? Grab your Jacks! They will go perfectly with your Lilly shift or your Vineyard Vines shirt dress!

        My favorite style is the Navajo and I have three colors in them: gold, white, and black. They have sub-categories for the Navajo, too! Like my black and white pairs are the Palm Beach Navajo, and my gold pair are the Hamptons Navajo. If you don't like them because you have a certain commitment/love to another shoe brand or style- that okay! Ha!
